While that's true, I can't see any actual possible package for Subban that makes the Habs better. D is simply not a position of strength for them to be dealing from.

the only Malkin rumors I remember ever reporting were this season and one that was going around at the draft when Jordan Staal was moved. And I am not the only one reporting it this season...

Its not going to happen.
As for Malkin, he miss way to many games and Subban barely any, minus the end of last season. So to me this trade doesn't make any sense, even for a forward with Malkin's talent.
I'm not a fan of Therrien either, this year might be a make it or break it for him, so i can't see them choosing him over PK.

Teams will keep calling. He's a top RHD. His no-trade clause kicks in on july first. Montreal had a bad year. It's a perfect storm.

He's not going anywhere unless he asks for a trade. Bergevin gave him that deal, not so long ago.
